2024 in Bloom: A Year of Stunning Wedding, Big, Bold & Colourful Floral Designs

Oh hey. I can’t quite believe we’re approaching the end of 2024, and it wouldn’t be right if we didn’t leave this year with an incredible blog post reflecting on quite possibly the best wedding season, ever! Where do I even begin?

What an incredible year 2024 has been. From the most amazing wedding venues all over the UK to jaw-dropping floral designs, and some of the most incredible couples I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. This wedding season has been one for the books. We’ve ended the year with 22 crazy-beautiful weddings, countless special projects, and a whole lot of love and laughter.

This year took us on the most incredible adventures across the UK! From the bustling streets of London to the picturesque beauty of Hampshire, Surrey, Somerset, Wiltshire, and the Cotswolds. We couldn’t have done it without our new van, which has been the ultimate road trip companion! We also had two of the most romantic elopements this year. One in the heart of London, UK and another in the charming streets of Paris, France.

We’ve had the absolute honour of collaborating with some of the most talented wedding suppliers in the UK, working our floral magic at iconic venues like Euridge Manor, Avington Park, St. Giles House, Somerley House, and Kin House. Just to name a few of our personal favourites. These spaces were transformed into floral wonderlands, and let me tell you, each one felt like stepping into a dream.

Floral Team of Creatives

But before I dive into the details, I need to give the biggest shoutout to my incredible team of freelancer wedding florists. Without your talent, creativity, and dedication, none of this would be possible. And, of course, to my gorgeous wedding couples! Thank you for trusting us to bring your visions to life. You are the heart of everything we do, and we’re so grateful to have been part of your love stories.

Celebrating Cultural & Interfaith Weddings

One of the most inspiring parts of 2024 was the opportunity to celebrate so many different cultures and traditions through our floral designs. Let’s start with the stunning Jewish wedding at Kin House, Wiltshire, featuring the most elegant and modern chuppah design. Learning about the significance of the chuppah and incorporating the couple’s vision was such a beautiful experience.

We also had the pleasure of working on two interfaith Sikh weddings at Somerley House, Hampshire and at The Elvetham, Hampshire. Both weddings were an absolute dream to design! The focal point for both these weddings was outdoor ceremony floral displays featuring two stunning mandap structures. All designs struck the perfect balance between modern elegance and whimsical charm. There’s something so special about blending different cultural elements to create a day that’s uniquely personal to the couple.

And let’s not forget the most stylish same-sex wedding we had the honour of designing this year! The grooms were absolute trendsetters, with one carrying a bouquet that had us all swooning. Yes, you heard that right! Groom’s bouquet is officially a thing for 2025 and we can’t wait for more!

Modern, Whimsical, and Colourful Designs

If there’s one thing that defined this season, it was the explosion of colour and creativity in our designs. From bold, modern arrangements to whimsical, garden-inspired installations, every wedding felt like a new adventure.

One of my personal highlights was the all-yellow bridal bouquet we created for a stunning spring wedding at Hyde House. It was cheerful and vibrant, just like our gorgeous bride’s sunny personality, adorned with a stunning blue Milla bridal dress.

At St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel London, we created a romantic floral setup for a vibrant city wedding. And speaking of London, we have so many exciting city weddings lined up for 2025 at some of the dreamiest venues in the capital. I can’t wait to share more about these soon!

Big Floral Designs = Big Love

If you know me, you know I’m all about big floral designs that make a statement. This year, we took things to the next level with not one, but two epic cascading tree installations. Picture florals tumbling down in the most elegant and whimsical way.

We also embraced the versatility of floral meadows, using them to line aisles, frame ceremony spaces, and later repurpose them as reception décor. It’s these kinds of thoughtful details that make your floral budget go further while keeping your day visually stunning from start to finish.

This year, we embraced bold and impactful design elements that truly elevated each wedding space. From cascading trees adorned with lush florals to grand urn arrangements that made a statement and whimsical floral staircases. All of this year’s weddings featured elegant tablescape designs infused with vibrant pops of colour to add a modern edge. These designs went beyond aesthetics, showcasing the individuality of each couple and creating unforgettable experiences.

Looking Ahead to 2025

As we wrap up this incredible year, my heart is so full of gratitude. 2024 has been beyond amazing and 2025 is shaping up to be even bigger and better. With more show-stopping designs, exciting trends, and the chance to work with more amazing couples, I couldn’t be more excited.
