Vibrant London Love – A Chic City Wedding at The St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel, London

Hello, a big hello from London! I simply can’t wait to share this new feature on The Way to Bloom blog: real wedding features. With so many stunning weddings and designs to choose from, selecting the first feature was quite a challenge. But there was no doubt that this colourful, playful, and joyous wedding in the heart of Kings Cross, London, had to take the spotlight, especially as it’s just been featured on the one and only Junebug!

London, the city of dreams and where history meets modernity! And what better venue to celebrate love in all its vibrancy for our gorgeous Tania and Tom than the iconic St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel? Let’s take you on a journey through the wedding of dreams that unfolded at St. Pancras, a celebration where every detail exudes style, sophistication, and a touch of that quintessential London flair.

The Venue

The St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel is a remarkable landmark in the heart of London. Situated just moments from Kings Cross and adjoined to St. Pancras station, this iconic hotel epitomises the blend of historic charm and modern luxury. Originally built in 1873, this London wedding venue exudes Victorian grandeur infused with contemporary sophistication. Even now, it continues to showcase remarkable Gothic architecture, capturing the essence of timeless elegance.

The Vibe

The vibe… A stunning couple, chic and edgy London vibes, stylish details, colourful wedding florals and guests who wanted to have a good time and sure knew how to party!

When I finished my floral consultation call with Tania, I knew this stylish wedding would leave a lasting impression. Tania had a clear vision from the start, and together we collaborated to bring her dream to life through a stunning colour palette that truly stood out. You might be surprised to learn that this wedding design boasts over 14 different colour tones. The floral team and I embrace colour, especially when presented with such an inspiring wedding design brief.

The Colours

The colour palette for this wedding was an enchanting blend of deep, luscious reds, vibrant pinks, and pretty purples, accented by softer hues of blues and blush pinks. This mixture of vibrant colours brought a sense of joy, happiness and style to the celebration. As I reflect on this stunning design, it’s clear that our passion for colour is truly flourishing.

Whilst I adore working with playful colourful blooms, I also appreciate the timeless elegance of an all-white wedding or the understated beauty of muted tones. Each wedding style is very versatile and every wedding sees new bespoke designs that perfectly reflect the unique vision of each couple, whether they're drawn to bold hues or subtle shades.

Bridal Attire

Tania, a vision of modern elegance graced the aisle in an off-the-shoulder bridal dress by Lace & Button Bridal and classic Jimmy Choo bridal heels. This bridal dress set the tone for the day – contemporary yet timeless. The bridal party dressed in classic black attire, added a touch of drama with bright and colour bridesmaid bouquets, perfectly complementing the bride's radiant beauty.

Wedding Design Florals

The couple say “I Do” against the backdrop of The St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel's historic architecture with a unique floral arrangement displaying a cluster of colours bursting with pretty pops of colour.

The wedding reception and party was held in the stunning Hansom Hall, a reception area reminiscent of an industrial loft complete with exposed brick dating back to the 1800s. We repurposed the ceremony florals and displayed this floral arrangement behind the sweetheart table with a bright neon sign, the ideal backdrop for the newlyweds.

It was a feast for the senses, with disco balls, stylish florals, and an array of vibrant colours infusing the space with energy and excitement! Stylish florals and glittering disco balls also adorned the sweetheart table. As guests danced the night away, bespoke cocktails flowed freely, adding an extra dash of fun and flair to the festivities.

Thank you to our lovely couple who trusted us to bring their colourful vision to life as well as all the wonderful and talented wedding suppliers who contributed to making this day magical!
